
Kelly Newland, Jr., PGA Will Join the Team Starting December 1
Kentucky's family of golf organizations are pleased to introduce Mr. Kelly Newland, Jr., PGA as the KGA-PGA, Inc.'s new Director, Junior & Senior Golf. A native of Grayson, Kentucky and a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University (where he was a member of the inaugural class from the EKU Professional Golf Management Program), Kelly is coming to the KGA-PGA, Inc. from the Gateway Section of the PGA of America, where he has been serving as the Junior Golf Director.
In his role with the Gateway PGA (which encompasses metropolitan St. Louis, much of Missouri and southern Illinois), Kelly has overseen a very successful junior golf program, and is excited to have the opportunity to return to Kentucky and lead efforts to promote junior golf in his home state. A member of the PGA of America and veteran of the Pepsi Junior Golf Tour, Kelly attended East Carter High School, where he was a member of the golf team.
Kelly's experience also includes internships with the PGA of America's Junior Series, the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association and Interlachen Country Club in Minneapolis.
He will begin service on December 1. |
