The 2011 KSGA Summer Special wrapped up on Monday, July 18 at Cherry Blossom Golf & Country Club in Georgetown, KY. This one day tournament featured 70 KSGA members participating in 4 flights and Super Senior Division. To view the results from all flights, click HERE.
This may the year of the first time winners at the "majors" so far and apparently the KPGA is following suit as one of the newest PGA apprentices in the section found his way to victory today at the 2011 Winner's Award Group/Cutter & Buck Classic.

KGA & KPGA Conduct Kentucky Golf Economy Study
The World Golf Foundation, with support from the Kentucky Golf Association and Kentucky PGA Section, recently completed a study of the impact of golf on Kentucky's economy. The study, officially titled The Kentucky Golf Economy, noted that golf brings visitors to the state, drives residential development, generates retail sales, and creates demand for a myriad of goods and services. KGA Members Enjoy Cardinal Club
By all indications, the KGA Member's Play Day @ Cardinal Club was a success even with a little rain to start off the day. Every flight winner posted an outstanding score and everyone enjoyed their visit to one of Kentucky's finest golf venues.
The KSGA Match Play Championship at Oldham County Country Club concluded on Thursday, June 16. The 66 player field was divided up among 5 flights including the Championship Flight which was deteremined by the low 15 scores from the Monday Qualifying Round and last year's Champion, Mike Campbell. The Championship Flight and Flight #1 competed at 6,236 yards while the remaining flights played the course at 6,037. The results from all flights are listed below.
To celebrate the centennial of the Kentucky State Amateur Championship, the Kentucky Golf Association held a dinner at Kearney Hill Golf Links, the site of this year’s Appalachian Wireless Kentucky State Amateur Championship.
